If you have your own business outside the EU and have received a temporary assignment on site in Sweden, you do not need to apply for a work permit.
If you will be visiting Sweden for more than 90 days, you need to apply for a visitor’s residence permit. You will not receive a salary/wages in Sweden; the remuneration for the assignment will be sent to your business in your country of origin.
If you have your own business and are going to carry out temporary, remote work in Sweden, you do not need to apply for a work permit.

Changes for those residing in Cyprus who wish to apply for residence and work permit
From 17 March 2025 the Swedish embassy in Nicosia will no longer handle migration matters. If you are a citizen of Cyprus, you should instead contact the Swedish embassy in Athens, Greece. The same applies for non-Cypriot legal residents of Cyprus.
