Mobility studies in an EU country with a stay in Sweden
You have a residence permit for studies in an EU programme or a multilateral programme in another EU country and it is mandatory for you to complete parts of your studies in Sweden.
You want to apply for a residence permit for studies in a mobility programme that are to start in Sweden, or you have been admitted to mobility studies in another EU country and want to notify the Swedish Migration Agency that you will complete parts of your studies in Sweden.
You have a residence permit for studies in an EU programme or a multilateral programme in another EU country and it is mandatory for you to complete parts of your studies in Sweden.
You are studying or will be studying in an EU or multilateral programme in Sweden and do not have a residence permit for mobility studies in any other EU country.

Changes for those residing in Cyprus who wish to apply for residence and work permit
From 17 March 2025 the Swedish embassy in Nicosia will no longer handle migration matters. If you are a citizen of Cyprus, you should instead contact the Swedish embassy in Athens, Greece. The same applies for non-Cypriot legal residents of Cyprus.
