You have a work permit and are exploited at work or subjected to human trafficking.

Are you being exploited at work?Contact the Swedish Migration Agency if you believe that it is a case of crime in working life. If you are the victim of a crime, you should contact the Swedish Police.

To get a work permit, you must meet a number of requirements. For example, you must have a sufficiently high salary/wages, and your employer must have taken out insurance for you. If you no longer meet the requirements and feel that you are being exploited at work, you should contact the Swedish Migration Agency.

Examples of situations that may constitute crime in working life:

  • You receive a much lower salary/wages than what is stated in your employment contract.
  • You have worse working conditions than those stated in your employment contract, for example extremely long working hours.
  • Your employer subjects you to unavoidable coercion or threats.
  • You are being sexually exploited.
