If you are seeking protection under the Temporary Protection Directive

These pages are aimed at those who have applied for protection under the Temporary Protection Directive. They are primarily aimed at those who are not registered in Sweden.

If you have had temporary protection for one year, you can be registered in Sweden and are then entitled to more support from society, for example that your newborn child who has not had a residence permit for more than a year can be registered in the national population register with you.

Information for children

The Swedish Migration Agency has also developed a social introduction for children who are 10 to 14 years old. It includes information about how to seek protection, about children’s rights and other things about life in Sweden that may be good to know.
