Change for people residing in Serbia and Montenegro and want to apply for residence and work permit
As of 3 February 2025, residents of Serbia and Montenegro should contact the Embassy of Sweden in Skopje, North Macedonia for applications for residence and work permits.
If you are a citizen or legal resident of Serbia or Montenegro, you now contact the Swedish Embassy in Belgrade for applications for residence and work permits. As of 3 February 2025, the embassy in Belgrade will no longer handle migration matters and after this date you should instead turn to the Swedish Embassy in Skopje in North Macedonia.
This means that, for example, in order to conduct an interview, passport control or provide biometric data, you must visit the embassy in Skopje in person. To book an appointment or to contact the embassy in other matters, see contact information on Swedenabroad.se.
