Higher median salary
The median salary is the basis for the maintenance requirement for those applying for a work permit in Sweden. Statistics Sweden has announced that the median salary has changed to SEK 35 600.
The requirement for a good living means that an employee must have a monthly salary that amounts to at least 80 percent of the median salary which was valid at the time of application. You can calculate the sum (80 per cent of the median salary) by multiplying the median salary by 0.8.
