Use this form to apply for permanent residence status if you are a family member of a British citizen. In order to be granted permanent residence status, you must have lived in Sweden without interruption for at least five years with a right of residence. The same requirements apply to your children.

Use this form if you are the family member of an EU/EEA citizen but not an EU/EEA citizen yourself. In order to obtain a permanent residence card, you must have lived in Sweden continuously for at least five years together with an EU/EEA citizen who has right of residence.

Use this form if you are a family member of a person who is applying for or has applied for a permit to work in Sweden. For this purpose, a family member is a husband, wife, cohabiting or registered partner or child.

Use this form if you want to apply for a residence permit to work as a researcher in Sweden if you come from a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland. You should also use this form if you are in possession of a residence permit to conduct research in another EU Member State and wish to conduct part of your research in Sweden.

Use this form if you want to apply for an extension of your residence permit. This applies if you have previously applied for asylum or are a family member of a person who has previously applied for asylum and has been granted a temporary residence permit.

This hosting agreement should be used for researchers from outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland invited by a research principal (university, institution, company, etc.) to conduct research in Sweden for a period of over three months.
