If you live in Lebanon and are applying for a resi­dence permit, you need to contact the Swedish embassy in another country

The embassy office in Beirut is currently closed to visitors. All booked visits have been cancelled and persons affected have been informed to contact other Swedish embassies or consulates general in the region.

Due to the deteriorating security situation in the region, the Swedish Government has decided to temporarily relocate the staff of the Swedish Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon.

Appli­ca­tion for a resi­dence and work permit

If you live in Lebanon and want to apply for a work permit, a residence permit for studies or a residence permit to live with a family member in Sweden, you can contact the embassy in Amman, Jordan. If you are a stateless Palestinian living in Lebanon, you should contact the Swedish Embassy in Cairo or the Consulate General in Istanbul.
